Skilogik Piton (2012)

Piton is the result of our search for a backcountry-specific ski where we peeled off unnecessary weight without sacrificing performance for that matter. The solid wood core is surrounded by two layers of carbon fiber in a triaxial structure to give the same outstanding torsional rigidity that our fatter models have made themselves known for. Piton's innovative TrailBreaker Tip ™ makes it easy to get down through deep snow, and gives the rider the freedom to choose a deeper way down. The tail is slightly curved to make it possible to back out of tight situations, and also has a machine-made bumper in aluminum with a bracket for risers.
