Stöckli Stormrider DP

I have been skiing my Stormrider DP's for ab. 3 weeks in variable conditions in BC and Alberta, Canada and in Finland, Scandinavia. They are the best skis i have ever skied, very stable, stiff, balanced and powerfull skis. They are most suited to high speed skiing but all goes well, on or off-piste, bumbs are difficult though because of the stiffness and wideness i quess. My height is 183 cm and 95 kg and 186 cm skis are perfectly suitable for my size and style: agressive but old fashioned bode miller style:) These skis are very difficult to compare with the other brands. Qualitylevel and traditional craftmanship in Stöckli skis is something that most manufacturers cannot achieve with their production methods.
I recommend for strong and heavier experienced skiers who enjoy hard skiing. Even shorter length should work for most people.

Strengths:
Stable in speed but still easy to get around in shorter old school swings and surfing. Feels incredibly well-built and completely flattering. Master in crud (raised off piste). Not a deaf hard drive, on the contrary! My weight and cravings may weigh into this, but I'm not an elitist just now.

Weaknesses:
Sure, I could imagine it could be a bit busier - more marked waist - but for "big yard in big mountains" is the cannon. Loose nose properties are certainly limited compared to today's fats.

Summary:
Well-built and quiet skiing for speedy skiers who also like cross-country skiing.

Summary:
Have gone on my 194cm DP in Les Arcs, Chamonix, Vars and in Orsa! These skis give 100% ride pleasure and I am the perfect skiers, almost as stable as my DH skis at high speed and not completely impossible in the piste. Do you want to go faster, get started with speedski :-)

Strengths:
A fantastic ski in all bowls. Cut through just everything that might be a barrier to your progress. Stabila as a thousand without being boring. Just damped just a lot and with a cut that is absolutely amazing. In the piste they go into the bypass file as shining locomotives, but very steadily if you take the command. In the pillows / offpist I have never done anything better ..

Weaknesses:
People on the slopes! Here it goes as just that. Do not enter the forest with these before you become friends. The first yard is Stöckli who goes outside with you and not the other way round.

Summary:
An extremely well-designed hand-made ski from Switzerland, designed by maestro Dominique Perret. The guy knows how to draw a good ski. This is, as I said, the best I've been to ..

I have driven a few pistols with ACEs 194or which, under current conditions, is not enough to give me a full picture. However, I can make a direct comparison with my 186 cm Head Monster 85 which may be of interest ...

Compared to Monster 85, Stöckli Stormrider DP is one size bigger in every way. Wider, stiffer, more subdued and longer turning radius. Despite this, they do not feel hard-hitting, but need more speed and power to make their way. Looking at the reward is a very stable platform that seems to plow through everything!

Nothing to recommend for piste driving in smaller slopes without clearly built for great driving on big mountains ...

Riders weight: 90 kg

I've been going on it for about 4 months and think it's awesome. Especially for long turns in pillows. In dense forests, it is well no elevation but works. If you want to burn quickly in pillows, there's probably not much better because it's extremely stable in high temperatures. In the piste, it's how cruel it is both in odd parties and sloppy. Slask fields are no problem because they go straight through. (I have a couple of regular Stormrider too but they are superfluous because I think DP na is goare in the piste too, but that's probably a habit thing)
I think it's an advantage to have some weight behind the ski so I recommend weighing at least about 80kg.
Buy it if you want a go winter

I had the chance to try a few Stormrider DPs towards the end of the season during a weekend in Hemsedal. The weather offered a lot of rain and the snow was then very wet and soft. However, this did not prevent the skid running like the train on basically the substrates I found to try, both ice and half-hard pist and loosnö. Stormrider is a very speedy ski that thrives best in high traffic and quite big turns, not much for the finer in the woods, despite my bandyspel years. However, the skid works well in _lite_ smaller turns, but then you should be strong in your thighs.

The biggest risk is that you can get a little arrogant against snowballs etc, because Stormrider DP just slices straight through them, something like any other ski models, it's not possible to do with hidden stones and mountain hills.

Sometimes it feels as if the skid sticks away with you, rather than stabbing away with the ski, a feeling that in itself can be very nice.

Stormrider DP has been a bit remodeled from the years before, on some points: on the other hand it has been increased on the tail and nose of 2mm fixed the same measure in the middle. a little more turn but there is nothing to reflect on. The front 10cm is also remodeled. The part has become a bit softer so it will get a little better flow.
DP is a rearranged runway skid so it's sick stable skid in all bowels. It has very good flow in the deep snow. Clockwise ice grip in tough conditions and is quite okay slipper. However, may feel a bit hard in small dense spaces, but it may be because I had 201cm. Works well in the woods if it is deep snow or it can be experienced very hard for some riders. If you have the weight or the power of your ride and like speed in the piste or out in the terrain, this is the best you can have. Can not get full rating due to that it really does not fit such a large audience.

Awesome skid twisted but good feeling driven 2 seasons on this steeprid skier, it is not often possible that 201 is a bit long in narrow stakes and some cliff times! Well worth spending on especially when you have space to drive dollar wings in steep cushions !!
