Manufacturers description
KENDO 88 is a narrower version of Mantra 102. Equipped with "3 Radius Sidecut" which is a short piste-oriented radius below the middle part of the ski, while significantly longer radii are in the front and rear. When the ski is used at lower speeds with small edge angles, the ski becomes nimble and fun. When the speed and the angles are then increased, the longer radii take over and calm down the turns. This works fantastically well as KENDO 88 also has Völkl`s famous "XTD Tip- & Tail rocker" profile. Two different skis in one is really the definition of all-round! Of course filled with Völkl`s latest techniques: "Titanal Frame", "Carbon Tips" and "Multi Layer Woodcore" make this a terribly solid all-rounder - or classic All Mountain for those who know that their skiing consists of both piste and off-piste and never want to compromise.

Strengths:
Performance - they really are fun to ski

Weaknesses:
Quality - there were two pairs that have delaminated.

Summary:
I loved these skis, really really loved them ... BUT they are of poor quality. My first pair was replaced on warranty because they delaminated. Dealing with EOC was about as fun as dealing with a used car salesman, but ultimately they did replace the pair. So I remounted my Marker bindings on the new skis and finally took them out for a spin and after day 2 the same thing happened - at least the old ones lasted a season. So I agree with the many positive reviews about the performance of the skis, but they are of very poor quality. It's not clear to me if this is due to design issues, or manufacturing issues or maybe just quality control, but ultimately there is zero chance I will be buying a Volkl product in the future which is a real shame...The photos show the 2021 and the 2023 model year

Great ski for off-piste and piste - both for long carving turns and short turns

Weaknesses:

Summary:
Both the 2021 model and the 2022 model delaminated after just a few days of skiing...

Model year: 2023

Strengths:
Light, good grip, turns quite quickly and quite stiff.

Weaknesses:
Terrible quality. Worst durability I've experienced on a pair of skis. Doesn't seem alone with problems with these skis. They kept for a couple of weeks in the hill, then they came apart in the lamination.

Summary:
Have fun while it lasts. Unfortunately, it didn't help that they were bought in a Swedish store when they were to be advertised. The complaints were forwarded to the factory via the supplier and despite the fact that there was no external damage to the skis, the warranty did not apply. Indicated instead that it should be taken out on own insurance. Bought at Intersport and the supplier was Sportmanship.

Strengths:
Fantastic response when you press. At the slightest maneuver, Kendo reacts lightning fast and accurately. Has an incomparable ability to make the turning radius you want. Short as long. Walks like on rails over all edges, dikes and lumps in slush as well as fresh snow and icy piste. Very impressed! A light skier may have to work very hard to push to a short turning radius (I am 192cm and 90kg very used skier)

Weaknesses:
Maybe requires a lot of light or unfamiliar skiers. Sounds a bit sharp in hard piste. No ski for bottomless powder, but loose snow goes well.

Summary:
Great fun skiing!

Model year: 2021
Riding style: Piste, freeride, hump, little jump. Very active skier
Length on the ski: 187 cm
Riders weight: 90 kg
Riders length: 192 cm

Strengths:
Fast edge to chance, carries well in loose snow and surprisingly good all-round.

Weaknesses:
Kasnke no slalom ski if you expect it, but that's not what it's built for.

Summary:
Wonderful all-round ski with a more forgiving quality than expected in loose snow. fast and stable on the piste and likes to be pressed, the 3d edge overrides and creates stability at all speeds.
The ski is recommended if you want to be able to go skiing all day.
