Manufacturers description
PEREGRINE 82 contains all of Völkl's technical know-how and innovations. Tailored Carbon Tips & Titanal frame provide more precision, more control and at the same time maximum edge grip without the skis being too hard to ride. The unique sidecut profile 3 Radius Sidecut opens up an even wider experience for an even larger target group of skiers. The ski is divided into three sections; a long and safe radius in the front, a short radius under the foot and ends with a medium-long radius at the rear end. This unique cutting profile together with Völkl's unique rocker profile provides an extremely fun and all-round ski. So: short and fun radius when you need it - long and stable radius when you demand it. In addition to this, the Marker LowRide XL bindings, unique to PEREGRINE 80/82, with a lower stand height, which gives a more nimble response edge-to-edge, and the P-tex 4504 coating with Zebra structure that guarantees the best glide. PEREGRINE 82 suits those who ski with maximum power and require German precision on all surfaces - new piste, driven, artificial snow, icy, spring slush or loose snow, but who also want skis that are lively and easy to ride at lower speeds.

Strengths:
Handle all types of front side groomers. Challenge you to go fast, long, short, cruise and expand your abilities. Precision weaponds, makes you smile and laugh out load in the blue, red or black slopes.

Weaknesses:
You have to ski them. Not so fun to spend all day scidding around in family slopes. Best if you ski with likeminded speedy skiers.

Summary:
After 10+ years in Nordica Helldiver Hotrod for pists and Black Diamon Amperage for powder and soft groomers I wanted something more dynamic than the Nordicas. And when I finally admitted to myself that the hunt for powder rarely succeded (on-pist skiing 99% of the time), I wanted to put the money on a pair of proper all day, versatile frontside skis. The Stöckli Stormrider and Montero AR made me drool after testing last season, but the prices were a turn-off. Then the Völkl Peregrine 82 came up in my sight. Found many reviews that supported my requirements for a ski, so I bought them without testing.
Makes me smile from first to last run.

Metal tip edge may come off

Summary:
These skis have it all. 4 days of demo, every type snow possible from hard ice, groomed, chunky ice, heavy powder, and crusty hard pack. They handled everything with ease and comfort.
