We went short week v.10
Well ahead of the slopes, perfect for my youngest son who cracked the skiing code during this trip.
He was very excited when we could ride the north chairlift up and get down from the top to the bottom, because the slopes on the north side are not so steep. Perfect facility for those who are not very experienced skiers. Most of the slopes are quite narrow and short so maybe not for the more experienced carving skier.
Nice atmosphere and staff.
We stayed in the Linnaeus houses, was just o slide down to the north chairlift.
We have been both in Grönklitt and Kungsberget.
1. Orsa because of the mountain feeling 2. Bjursås because of tight and easily accessible facility with a little mountain feeling.
3. Kungsberget because of the distance to Stockholm and child-friendly slopes.
Keep an eye on opening hours during the low season when half the resort is closed at the beginning of the week.
Starting from v.11 this year.

Good ski slope, could be a little better park. But they have great off-piste. Many slopes and lifts to choose from.

Best ski resort I have been to. This year they have done a great job with the park and opened all the slopes.

Had a blast here, short week v7 with two teenagers. Was lucky with a small snowfall of about 10-15cm, good snow on the slopes and next to it. Nice little slopes, good piste, no major drop of course but a little variety, there is some forest and entertainment between the slopes and a well-built very fun park despite the disturbing flat part. No lift queues and extremely homely local slope feeling. Pleasant pace in the chairlifts so you have time to recover on the way up. Nice cheap cabins near the lift, also good price on the lift tickets. The experience was enhanced by a few visits for evening skiing in the Falu snowpark.

A ski resort with potential, but which does not meet expectations.
To fight against the bigger ski resorts, then you need to put in that little bit extra. Which Bjursås seems to have been forgotten. Not making sure to pist ALL the slopes is a big mistake, as there are limited runs. The only black slope, the Velodrome, was not prepared but became a "free ride" piste. Trying to tackle that hill with hard crust that gives way because it's fluffy underneath is just asking for a broken leg.
Equal to those of the day? the off-piste red slopes:
The wolf rock
The spruce branch
Baggbo
Snow park
Waffle slope.
Only 1 red pist was groomed!!!
Asked the lift hosts why they didn't prepare, who then gave the answer that it was snowing. Hey!! Yes, it snowed the night before. But not skiing the slopes until the next day is a misconduct. As I said, the little extra is missing for the smaller ski resorts to survive.
Will neither return nor recommend Bjursås.

Nice facility and good staff. Well maintained. Good for a short weekend, much closer than Sälen for a Stockholmer.

Excellent facility for families with children. Nice welcome from all staff in both lifts and ski school. Nice piste and plenty of snow. That we were lucky with the weather and lots of sun did not make the experience worse :) we will be back!

After all the hours here you are a much better skier!
As an alpinist myself since you were three and then to train and compete in crowds. Then slalom coach in the club and now get lucky to go with my own son in this lovely ski resort!
