Chamois reviews

The car-free village is super cozy. The only way to get here is via the cable car from Buisson (runs until 9pm) or via the airport (!) for very small planes... The village is on a sunny plateau at 1800m altitude.
Maybe Verbier looked like this in the 50s?

We stayed at Maison Cly: 4 star hotel with nice spa, clearly affordable price. There is also BnB in the even smaller village below (10 min walk), and occasional AirBnb.

Then there are two abandoned hotels in the middle of the village (which you like to fantasize about buying and renovating).

Skiing:
Three old chairlifts take you up to 2500 m. From there you have 700 meters of skiing in a few slopes.
In better snow conditions there are unlimited off-piste possibilities; the area is like one giant south-facing bowl.
Skiers rigth there seemed to be nice skiing in the larch forest.

Then we have the mythical run on the backside down towards Valtourenche (or whatever village you end up in?). Here there was much more snow (north side) but due to thick fog we did not dare to test during the two days we were here.
