Located just outside of Logan in northern Utah, Cherry Peak Resort is a relatively new ski resort that opened in 2014. The resort is located in the Bear River Range and has emerged as a local alternative to the larger ski areas further south in the state.
Cherry Peak is built around varied skiing rather than size. The terrain combines open slopes with forest skiing, where several slopes go through sparsely forested areas. In good snow conditions, there is also the opportunity for off-piste skiing directly from the lift system, which provides extra variety for more experienced skiers.
The ski area is clear and easy to get to, with short distances, night skiing and a slower pace than at Utah's most famous destinations. Cherry Peak is suitable for skiers who prioritize accessible skiing, a sense of location and variety in the terrain over large lift systems and extensive resort offerings.
