This has been my local hill for as long as i have lived. This is where i learned alpineskiing in the 80's and i visit about 5 to 10 times a year. I love the place. Mostly, this is due to the fact that i know backcontry very well.
Only problem is that it is the southernmost skiing area in norway an this leads to extremly variable conditons.
It's really small an low key and its run with a few part time employees. The park (one good tabeltop-jump if u'r lucky) usually sucks, and the pistes are sometimes well groomed.

I'm there for freeriding offpiste which can be really good if the conditions are right. I rediscovered some of the backcountry areas this year because i bought my first pair of skis in 20 years (been snowboarding for the last 20). Marker dukes on fat freeriding skis give you access to a lot of small peaks in the sourounding area:-)

Overall: a small mountain with good freeriding when the conditions are right.

Bigger isn't always better.
