Have lived in Zurich for seven years but was in Elm for the first time last Saturday - definitely the best place within an hour from Zurich! The highest fall height produces fine, low carving slopes, and as previously pointed out, the powder is found in both forests and higher locations, and competition is low. When we were there, however, it was very awkward when it did not snow in a week, but for those who dare sneeze the happiness factor is high! Directions are not required, it is apparent ...

Also bear in mind that on Saturday there were visitors records in many ski resorts around Zurich with corresponding queues as a result. Although Elm only has four lifts, we did not expect more than three minutes somewhere. In addition, the motorway is not particularly frequent.

In conclusion - very nice for a day or a weekend!

We went here when it was snowing completely and the view was minimal in Andermatt. I was skeptical but what forest we got! Exactly steep, completely untouched and easy to find, nice open scratches in the woods. Not big enough for a week but for a day when the weather is good (snowfall) that's the gun.

A really small family paradise with nice pisted slopes and a highest altitude of over 2000m, does it matter?
When it has snowed a lot, there is a cannon offpist both in forest and outside. Because there are only families with children here and they are in the back or drinking chocolate it is enough to take a meter outside the back to find untouched pads.

The rating will only be 3 because skiing is only ok if it does not snow, it has snowed, but it's 5+.
