Foppolo

Wide, fine slopes, exciting off-piste and deserted slopes – the ski resort is available and is called Foppolo. The Italian ski resort is located just two hours from Milan and right next to the ski resort of San Simone. For those of you who are used to amazing alpine villages in Tyrol, Foppolo will probably not make your jaw drop. On the other hand, it offers calm and pleasant skiing without thousands of annoying skiers. You can expect wide slopes that are well spread out from each other.

At the same time, it's easy to keep costs down when you visit Foppolo. Reason? The city of Bergamo is right next door and you can fly here for a few hundred dollars with RyanAir. The lift pass is also cheap for a week's skiing and you can find good slopes for the whole family. There is also really good off-piste, both more advanced and child-friendly. The difference in altitude is between 1,610 metres and 2,160 metres.
