Garmisch-Partenkirchen/Garmisch-Classic

Ski resorts in Germany
The German Garmisch consists of three mountains – Hausberg, Kreuzeck and Alpspitze. Together, they form the Garmisch Classic, a substantial ski area. It is located in Garmisch-Partenkirchen in the Bavarian Alps. The maximum altitude here is 2,050 metres with a vertical drop of 1,330 metres. Here you can enjoy wide, steep, hilly and well-groomed slopes. You can also head up to Germany's highest mountain, the Zugspitze, to enjoy some gentle glacier skiing. Snowboarders, slalom enthusiasts and skiers alike come to Garmisch Classic to try out really good slopes.
For those who are going to go cross-country skiing, there are both easier and more challenging trails. For some easy-going skiing, you can choose the trail that runs from Hausberg to Olympia Skistation. For a more challenging experience, opt for the cross-country ski center's trails instead. If you're a fan of downhill skiing, you won't be disappointed either. The area has really good slopes with an altitude difference of 3084 feet.
