Last winter was pretty cool with a new snow system and new staff motivated to get freestyle happening again in Leksand. The small space allocated for the park was fantastic with 3 rail lines leading to 2 big jumps in the halfpipe. Over summer this year they have cleared a heap of land and the park will be twice as long.. they have also added to the new snow system. This winter... bring it on...

This is a great "starter resort".
It has got an easy off-pist, friendly tracks and a great park that is built for newbies and professional riders.
The prices are Ok and the people are kind and have no hurry.
I enjoy my times in this resort, I meet kind people, the park is great and its often sunny here.

If you are looking for nice pists and a wonderful off-pist, you should come and see how it is, you won´t get disappointed.

Granberget, despite its relative smallness, has many upsides. Snow-sure, great staff, nice restaurant, great view and nice cross-country tracks that start at the top of the lift. The skiing on the slopes is quite varied with terrain that creates variety. There is also some forest skiing, both easier and slightly more difficult. There is a children's slope with a separate lift for the youngest and otherwise two parallel lifts to the top. This means that there is almost never a queue. Unfortunately, the slope is at its flattest, and since the wind is in the wrong direction, it goes very slowly for my taste.
However, the very best thing about Granberget is the park. Three smaller jumps begin. The jumps are separated by fences and usually well-shaped and no less than the occasional front and seventh are placed in them. After the small jumps, there is a rail section with about fifteen features. Then follow three larger jumps where there are long doubles and alongside these smaller jumps and also knuckles. A wallride ends. The park as a whole is great and well maintained and contributes to Leksand having an active Snowboard and Freestyle club. An almost queue-free lift on the side makes it possible to run many laps in one evening.
Really nice home slope and if it had 50 more height meters then...

Very good beginners back!
A hill that has a bit of each.
Nice hope; green, blue, and black.
This year (winter 06-07) with two big jumps.
In addition, with some rail, including a rainbow rail.
We must not forget that you can go in the middle of the woods, where the piste machines are not accessed. Very good to go there when it's snowy!
But unfortunately, there are many roots that stand in the way when there is too little snow.
To be such a small hill, Granberget has a nice half-pipe.
Beginner-friendly!

Granberget gets 3 points. For a very good all-in-all back, but you soon get tired of going there after a while.

A nice backing with nice bigjumps. However, the halfpipe is never open when I'm there for some strange reason. There are a number of beautiful off-piste trails. Clearly approved backs. =)

Backs that one gets tired of after about half way up the elevator.
Nowhere does it go for skiing alone, but a giant plus for last year's big jumping structure when a number of big jumps in a row were placed in the main back. Beautifully worked granite!

The facility is for you who think you are a midfielder as well as for the fiddler.
For the firemen there are several bigjumps and a halfpipe that got a good score from the snowboard elite.
At the facility there is a very good ski shop with a wide range of equipment. If you get stuck for any rented equipment then you can buy it.
