Hinterstoder breathes alpine piste racing, with several staked courses and ski clubs training there. Almost all slopes go down into the same pot, like a 'V'. Good if you want to drive on different slopes but eat together.

Drove in Hinterstoder one day, week 8.
There is a world cup slope, another with a 70% gradient, and a good mix of black, red and blue slopes. The gondola lift from the valley is new from the 22/23 season and effectively swallows queues.
If you ski from the top to the valley, the piste is 7400m. Impressively long, but not very technical, so it works for driving with the family. There is also a black slope to the valley which is 3500m. Driving altitude is 600-2000m. Most of the slopes are at about 1400 m.a.s.l.

Not much for off-piste, but with good snow availability you can find lines under the "Höss Express" chairlift, or up at the top (Schafkogel). Even under the gondola "Hössbahn" you should be able to find some powder, but would not recommend Hinterstoder if you want to pump powder. However, if you want to carve with piste racers, you can have a lot of fun there.
