Javalambre

Javalambre is located in the Sierra de Javalambre in Teruel Province and is a compact ski area best suited for beginners, families, and anyone looking for easy to intermediate groomed runs without any hassle. The skiing is divided into two clearly defined sectors, Lapiaz and Sabina, which makes the area easy to get a handle on even on your first day.

The resort offers 9 miles of slopes between 5,413 and 6,562 feet. The trail map is dominated by gentle descents, with 4 green runs, 8 blue runs, and 1 red run, and there’s a snowpark for anyone who wants to mix things up with jumps and rails.

Snow here is largely about snowmaking. Javalambre lists 9 miles of snowmaking coverage and around 175 snow cannons, which in practice is what often makes it possible to keep the season going when temperatures swing in a southern climate.
