The description of a family and beginner-friendly ski area is misleading. Most of the so-called blue slopes in the upper area are much steeper than 25%, and not just in short sections. When we were there, part of the family run was closed, so to get down you had to take the red Brandl run. This is on the border to black, there is an unsecured narrow section. The remaining blue pistes are in fact drag runs, very narrow and also completely unsecured, which you can mainly ski down in a snowplough. They also end abruptly in the middle of nowhere. The lower section, which is quite long, is completely red, with the exception of the children's slopes on the magic carpet. Summary: Realistically, there are no blue pistes in this area. For advanced skiers, this is certainly perfectly okay. Definitely too difficult for beginners. To be fair, the slopes were properly groomed.
