Wrote the negative below first.
But otherwise:
Very nice tracks. Quick to drive up the tracks.
Access to valley shelters.
Stayed in a nice cabin with sauna.

Expensive track cards (went on over a thousand bucks 2 people 3 days)
Late check-in at 16 would be 14-15 would be much better. They blamed the cleaners' work environment.
We cleaned ourselves, had to take 80 pictures. Ugh what misery we were going crazy.

You can ski both downhill and cross-country in the same place. Always well-groomed and well-tracked

Visited Orsa Grönklitt in February 2024 and was very pleasantly surprised Despite the low drop height, the facility offers varied and fun skiing, with everything from wide carving slopes to a labyrinth of tracks in the forest. . There were perfectly groomed slopes everywhere despite a lot of people. Since there are many lifts and slopes, there were no queues either. Simply a nice and well-maintained facility, where limited height is compensated by smart planning and great care for snow quality.

Unfortunately, Orsa Grönklitt is imbued with a petty squeamishness. The principle seems to be that if something can be charged, it should be charged. Considering that the lift tickets are expensive, it feels sour to have to pay extra to park at the lifts. Or that our friends with small children were charged 200 Swedish kroner to get a high chair for the apartment, when the rent was still many nice thousands of dollars. In addition, the facility is spread out, for example the ski rental is a couple of hundred meters from the lifts.

You don't have to travel far to find the good rides.
They are not the longest slopes available, but the back of the mountain has good gradient and wide runs. Generally plenty of snow and well-groomed pistes. If you avoid sports holidays, you can spend a whole day on the slopes without queuing.
A big plus is the proximity to the accommodation. You often find your way home without taking off your skis.

When the lifts have stopped running, there are endless well-groomed cross-country trails. Ride until it gets dark, then continue on the lighted tracks. (When these go out, it gets VERY dark. But after 5 minutes without light, you can see even in the dark).

It is the whole that makes this a good winter resort. You can let the children free in the lift system with minimal risk of them getting lost. The mix of alpine and cross-country is winning for me.
Good restaurants and grocery store with a decent selection.

Lived in a mobile home on their pitch during 12-17/3. There was no way to empty the camper's toilet. There was no possibility to fill up drinking water in the car.

SEK 400 per night is far too high a price for this pitch.

Would have also liked more tracks where dogs were allowed to join.

Cozy place for the family, and really a good system, if the slopes were open. Unfortunately, there seems to be a lack of resources. Epiphany weekend 2023 when, for example, Romme & Järvsö have all slopes open, Orsa has 14/22, despite a cold winter and a lot of snow. This means that everyone is crowded at the same windlass. The lifts are old and seem to stop frequently. However, cozy forest skiing was appreciated by the children.

No large slopes but perfect for families with children with younger children and / or cross-country skiers. The children's first time on skis. Good ski school with fantastic ski instructors. The five-year-old went down for blue slopes on the third day and went button-lifting himself then. The eight-year-old appreciated jumping and the easy forest skiing after a few days. The slopes were well groomed and freshly prepared every night. The cross-country trails are always fantastic in nice surroundings. Good and fast service when renting skis. Pretty close to Sthlm and okay lift queues. Bonus is that from the lift / hill you saw wolves, tigers and snow leopards.
