Puijo is located in Kuopio and is best known for its historical heritage in Finnish ski jumping. Now, after being a central place for ski jumping and cross-country skiing for many years, Puijo has now opened a new alpine ski slope. The slope offers a varied terrain, with both intermediate (red) and easier (blue) slopes. The new ski resort is reached by a modern two-seater lift and offers nice views of lakes and forest areas from the top.
The hill is located near the Puijon tower, and as you go down the hill, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery, especially at sunset. In addition, there is a small mini-park for freestyle skiers who want to test their skills.
Puijo is a popular spot for locals and ski tourists alike, and also offers a number of cafes and restaurants at the top. Here, visitors can enjoy both skiing and the stunning views, making it a great choice for a day on the mountain.
