Good slopes

Ruka is nothing extra, but given its size, they are betting. Small and familiar. Paradise for park rats. Only place in Finland with real ski-in. The biggest problem is that the slopes are at least twice too short. Close to the bear round, which should be experienced in both summer and winter. Properly lit slopes, as it is dark half the season. Have slogan that they open 10.10 at 10. Which is 2 months earlier than other places

Taught me to go skiing here so ....
Rukka really invests in the ones they do and the result is superb
+ long opening hours when I was there 10:00 to 19:00 non stop
+ Varying

- Lots of Russians who dress like KGB agents from a Bondroll
- Opens "early" in the season but does not open all slopes

Good place will be freestyle vm this year, good funpark and this year they will have a new chairlift there (6 people) it's 5 meters a second a good place !!!!! there is also a ski cross world cup there every year !!
 

nice place to go there since i was 5 have a cabin a mile away from there a lot of afterski places and so on ... very nice slopes with a lot of hop and bigjumps.

they have a really nice ski resort ... what a shame when we were there with the clubs was that there was not so much snow that it was kind of just 4 slopes that were open ... but it's good practice at the beginning of autumn there ... quite a lot of finnish clubs there at the time but it's fun ... =)

-MASSES of people, families with children and Russians driving straight into the elevator queue.
-dodgy with offpiste opportunities.
- Do not go here at Easter, then it's total chaos.

Plus:
-Good range of slopes for all types of rides and for all levels
-Super ripped nightlife
-Functional service both at the hotels & food restaurants
-Man can choose to live in everything from luxury hotels / cabins with hot tubs to full board to simple, cheap "room hotels" where you cook their own
-The weather is usually pleasant.
-Many chairlifts
-As considered the best snowboard paradise in Finland
 
Minus:
-Very long lift queues in high seasons
- Very family-visitors who sometimes irritate the more "aggressive" riders
- Too bad pipes
-Offpist area could be better ..

If the weather is on the worse side, there are many inside activities to try; such as tennis, squash, indoor band .. in the "Ruka club". The area is solely adapted for the annual tourists and it is expanding all the time.
