Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis reviews

This place rocks!!!
Have been to Fiss 13 times. 12 times for skiing and 1 time for hiking in September.
The village of Fiss is cozier than Serfaus. High class hotels and I don't think the skiing can be better 😀
Recommended!!!

Please note that this is not a review of skiing. However, I would like to give my picture of SFL when we were on holiday here v25 2022.
As mentioned, there are 3 villages abbreviated SFL. The place is huge !!! Have skied all my life and never seen a piste map so extensive. Everything is here! We have hiked, ridden a cable car (zipline), toboggan (type roller coaster you control speed yourself), bathed and ate and drank well at humane prices. SFL is by far the largest in terms of slopes in Austria. The largest in terms of lift capacity / h. 220 km of slopes are enough for a week's holiday and will be over. We were in Kappl in Paznauntahl last winter and they had 6 lifts and that was enough for a 5 day ride.
Quite unknown here still but well known in the Netherlands. We have already booked for the winter. According to information, there are no longer queues even during v7-9. Looking forward to getting to know SFL better.

Have been in serfaus for the last two years with the family (four children from 2-7 years) and are lyrical. Have stayed at hotel Löwe and Bär, luxury family hotels. With small children, this arrangement is magical. The riding for adults is quite ok, pistachio well approved, powder skiing ok. Everything is adapted for families with children, syperamidally.

Was there week 9 in 1 day 2012, clear blue sky and hot afternoon.
A perfectly ok system, but a bit of transport and a lot too many Dutch people.


+ Not much lift queues despite week 9.
+ Widened area with fairly varied rides.

-90% of those who were there were Dutch - completely senseless. This was week 9 (northern Holland), but still ...
The mountain and lifts were designed to make it difficult to travel between the valleys easily.

Great place with varied rides. There are steep slopes, but the most profitable off-piste rides are lacking, but sluggish off-piste is easily accessible. The best ride is at Lazid, Obere Scheid. Masner is usually good snow and nice off piste if you climb a little up to the peaks. Nice town.

One in Swedish eyes, very unknown place in the Alps. Really good indeed and offers a lot of mixed ride, however, quite flat. Can be highly recommended for families with children, but may not be as good for a dedicated cushion hunter. However, there is of course the possibility of a good off-piste if a dump would come. A cozy town that has the most, a slightly different but good solution with a kind of subway.

You have invested a lot in this area. New cabin lifts and almost single chair lifts and new initiatives are under way. Essentially there are red pistes. The black ones are more dark red than black. Skiing around Ladis no further while there are many beautiful runs to Sefaus and beyond Masner. Very good for the family. But if you're single or couple, you're probably longing for France.
I would love to come here again

We were there for the first time in 1986, then we had a packet & ready a recipe for serfaus. Then we became curious at the resort and went there for profit and loss. No problem finding accommodations. Now 20 years later we live in Austria and guess where, Gemainde Serfaus / Tösens. Can really recommend this amazing ski resort, but we can recommend this place even in summer, for example, the Flitzer track rodel down to the village about 5 km you decide the speed yourself. We have been there many times this summer with relatives o friends, they think it's amazing when Serfaus is about 1500 meters high. Be there over the weekend 24/9 2007 when all the peasants take down their cows from Almen (fäbod in Swedish) this is an unusual sight for a Swedish. As they decorate the cows with amazing wreaths on their heads, they must be experienced to understand.
Do you want a guide that belongs to you.

A large and incredibly well maintained and modern ski system. Not so much Swedes and quite quiet with people by the way too. We had untouched loose snow for three days and it seemed as if people were uninterested with the white unspoiled gold that is outside the piste. not until a few days when the sun shone from clear blue skies, people dared to go on the offpiste. Serfaus I find the best among the resorts, and we lived there too. Nice city with good communication.

It's a cozy place with goa slopes and good park. If you want to sneak off, it's really good. I have been there 2 times and it has been wonderful! // Christopher
