Wachusett Mountain

Ski resorts in USA
Located in the middle of Massachusetts, between Princeton and Westminster, Wachusett Mountain is one of the most easily accessible ski slopes in all of New England. The proximity to Worcester and easy transport means that many people go here for evening skiing or quick day visits rather than a whole week of skiing. There is also a shuttle bus from Wachusett station for those who want to avoid driving all the way.
The ski area has 27 slopes and eight lifts, three of which are fast chairlifts and the rest consists of, among other things, conveyor belts in the beginner areas. With a vertical drop of around 1000.7 feet, this is a mountain that will last longer than you might think when you just look at the map – especially if you like to grind laps with good fluidity. Wachusett also has access to artificial snow on all slopes, and night skiing on large parts of the system, which is a big part of the thing here.

Historically, Wachusett is also a real classic. The first trails were cut as early as the 1930s, and during World War II, parts of the legendary 10th Mountain Division trained in the area. It is noticeable that the mountain has been part of the American ski culture for a long time – even though today it is primarily a modern, efficient and easy-to-ski facility that delivers a lot of skiing per hour.
