Wagrain is an efficient ski area with good connections, e.g. to the other towns of Flachau, Zauchensee and Kleinarl. We lived right by the Grafenberg lift and took the shortcut to Kleinarl by bus instead of three lifts and the long Panormalink lift. The skiing is recommended for those with children in their early teens and younger. After-ski is available if you look for it. No ski resort for those who long for long, steep slopes. Good for those who wish to practice carving technique and avoid queues in the lift. We were there week 11. Sunny, calm wind and a day with 10-15cm of fresh snow. Can't complain about that weather.

Perfect ski area for families with children! Wide slopes that are long enough for both big and small to be able to ride a whole day. There are plenty of good ski schools and also après ski for those who feel like it. The nightlife is there but that is not the focus here. Several cozy restaurants on the slopes, a must is après ski at Jagastüberl and try their homemade Jägertee. Tips on après ski Après Ski Alm Kuhstall and Dampfkessel (located in Flachau). Tips on nightclub Die Tenne. Tips on restaurants on the slopes Uncle Tom's Hütte, Starchen Stadl, Oberforsthofalm GesmbH, Obergassalm. There are many Danes who choose to go here, not so many Swedes. If you like steep slopes, off-piste and a lot of partying, it is not Wagrain you should choose.

Cannon place for children with children in 9 and 11 years! Long nice pistes and good places to have a snack / eat on the slopes. Cozy little town.

Be in Ski Amadé where Wagrain is included so there was a ride there one day. What I can say is that there is no advanced ride at all. Of course you can find some nice slopes and some forest skiing, but that's all. But if you are a nice rider then you may want to enjoy it, because it's beautiful nature and so .....

Wagrein has fostered riders like Hermann Meier and Ann Marie Mozel Pröll ... quite nice rides but among the nicest "in the back cafés" that I used to be. can be a bit a lot of people, but go to Kleinarl ... so good skiing and much less people .. by the way: modern lift system and nice people.
