Ylläs reviews

Ylläs, one of Finland's largest ski resorts, suits all target groups but would 110% recommend going closer to Easter than around Christmas - the darkness and crowds are much smaller in the spring. Nice ski systems and good options for food and drink. Hotel Saaga right by the lift system has that little extra.

Ylläs is a great backdrop for the whole family, which I have visited for the second consecutive year. This year they have two beautiful parks and two junior parks. The offpiste is incredibly good only one learns to find the right places. (when I was on shorter stays, I thought the offpiste sued.) The gondolift is really good (used almost only that and the streetlift), but else the rest of the lifts said. (worthless seating lift without "foot" support for skiing / snowboarding. Watch out so you'll find the slopes on time when you're in the offpiste !!! (I ended up on a nice 1.5km walk but pants ...

Ylläs is a really nice place. Good lifts, varied rides. Breeeda's nice well-groomed pistes are probably the sign. Good planned system. It's a good idea to find out the Finns, nothing left to chance. Not perhaps the best party venue (there is Levi straw warmer but skiing is Ylläs better). Best rides are on the 12th hill down the valley at the Jokeri lift, where you can drive offpiste on the side if you know it. And then you would like to take a warm chocolate minttu and a lukewarm raspberry on the cozy fake down in the valley there. Such a large facility, for example, might have been Swedish Dundret, but there are those bright years after unfortunately. Should you choose the side of the mountain for the accommodation, I probably like Äkäslompolo page better, more forest, more cozy. Iso-Ylläs's page is a bit trickier. But, of course, the accommodation is top notch. New, fresh and ALWAYS with your own sauna. That is in Finland. Highly recommended!

If you are going on a hill in Northern Norway, it's Ylläs who strikes me all the way

The downside is that it usually blows up to heavy winds, but for those who like to go to powder snow, it's one of the best places to be on :)

I'm there several times a winter and usually around Easter and it's usually nice weather but sometimes cold and windy. Now they have a fixed gondola lift and seat lifts. 29 lifts and 61 runs. best time is enough at Easter.

has been on ylläs twice, 2005 and 2006. Ylläs was the first ski resort I was in outside Sweden. Many backs and even though there is not so much hope, they have a pretty good park with boxes, rails, some jumps and one (at least when I've been there) uncooked halfpipe. In my opinion, the best page is "Iso-ylläs" because I like jumps and boxes, but they have very big variations on the slopes and often very high quality. There are usually long queues on the table but the food is good. I have many good memories from ylläs and think that everyone who has the roads should go there.

First of all, we correct previous reviews, ylläs is not the highest mountain in Finland, but ylläs is 3 km long in Finland. It has been there a few times in recent years and what I can say is that there is a mountain that suits everyone .. there is a fairly gentle park, both steep and slippery, a little offpiste, cross-country, etc. There's probably no mountain man to do if you just want to go off-piste or just park, but the mix of yoke is good. on the other hand, the weather is mostly less good, with fog, cold and snowstorms .. but if you're going to go to Finland, you'll probably be top 3 beggar: ylläs, levi & ruka ..

Ylläs is a good and nice place.

In summary, I can say that Ylläs is a good hill, nice and big park and that's where you hang almost all the time.
