BCA Tracker DTS

Strengths:
super easy to use, simple to use when in a panic

Weaknesses:
none, although the price on any tracker tends to be reasonably high

Summary:
I had to use mine when a friend got caught in a minor avalanche. I was terrified he was going to die. That i wouldn't be able to find him. I was in a huge panic. But the tracker is unbelievabley simple that you cant forget how to use it. I found my best friend under about 5 feet of snow about 4 or 5 minutes of the incident occuring. He was overwelmed with happiness as was I. He said he owed his life to me, but he's wrong. He owes his life to my tracker :)

It works and is easy to use.

Strengths:
Have had my 2 to 5-6 years and practice every season. Feels easy to use.

Weaknesses:
Should be really smaller and lighter type 10% of current weight and volume.

Summary:
Simple and good mate. Feels good with the battery indicator that seems to be truthfully consistent.
Good buy a few years ago and certainly the same now.

Weaknesses:
For quick search, it is assumed that you read the manual carefully and may be a good tracker. The risk is that the search will be too slow because you can not handle the device.

Summary:
Recently compared Ortovox x1 with Tracker DTS. Both are good transceivers, but the Ortovox wins on its simplicity and above all that it's faster to find it. While the tracker also works well, it has the ability to trick it when more buried and you often have to narrow the search field with the yellow button, even in single search to speed up the process. This fixes the orthopox better.

Very easy to learn. Works excellent at single search. In multiple searches, it is well done. But overall, it's the gun for the amateur because it's basically a single big red button to press (much bigger button now than on the old model shown in the picture here). This may seem like a small matter but think it may be important for an amateur in a stressed situation to have as simple and easy-to-understand integration with the aperature as possible.

A good transcriber, unfortunately, older models have worse software, which means that the calculations take some time and may not always be accurate.

The new model, on the other hand, is very good. However, DTS has thought completely wrong with multiple searches, limiting the transcriber makes the search only harder. A function similar to Barryvoxen would have been better where transan automatically switches to analog audio at multiple searches.

Sitting well, and so it seems to work too! Found me under 1.5 meters of snow so I'm satisfied!
Think, though, that it's a bit worse for multisök, but if you are knowledgeable about it and have exercised a lot, it should not be a problem either.
Feels like 3000 is a small expense because I'm still alive and can go today !!!!

Clearly the best I've tested, Run with Ortovox F1 before but with this you run the search time using the arrows to show where to go.

It halves search time on remote search, but it may seem a little disturbing when searching for small breaks to change the power of the input signal. The overall impression gives a very good grade because it "points" in which direction to go ...
