Stöckli Stormrider XL

Strengths:
Stable and reliable, works the pist perfect at high speed it's similar to an Audi on the Autobahn, great for long runs, not build for slow speed with alot of Manouvering.

Weaknesses:
Heavy as fk, with a large radius. Not a Swift ski to move so not suited for forest.

Summary:
I've done my best to really love them, but they never peaked. It's a Jack of many trades, but not really feeling them excell at anything.

Strengths:
A fantastic ski that really keeps what it promises! Works just as well on any surface.
Does not matter if we are talking blue-ice "wall" piste, or offpiste driving with windpack, lack of crowds or for that matter wonderful pillows. Stormrider goes like a trap through everything! And with goodbye in addition! Extremely stable construction that makes it actually one of the world's best all-purpose ski runs!
Certainly one of the best skiing I've ever tried .... (and bought)!

Weaknesses:
If you get into the woods with them, they may be experienced as a bit sluggish. The design is more for larger turns and it becomes a bit "bumpy" to get around them if it's crowded. Depending on the length of time, it's clear.

Summary:
Canoe skiing for all bowls! Stable like few others. Like speed! Kantgrepp which is absolutely amazing!
An allround ski that deserves its name!

Strengths:
stable. tested it for 3 days in kittelfjäll, under varied conditions;
everything from cenmentbacke, 10 cm loose up cement, glacier skiing & spring soft offpiste.
always felt cruelly controlled. no problem in the woods :)

Weaknesses:
requires speed to feel good.
nothing for shortcuts.
heavy?

one of the better layers i tried!

Strengths:
Very allround. The construction is a bit different because the skirt is wide in front, but has a narrow waist and back part. This makes it work well in the snow while it is also a nice technical ski for all possible conditions. It requires proper aggressive driving in order to get fit and when driving off-piste, make sure to keep up the speed to keep it moving smoothly.

Weaknesses:
For beginners, the ski can be a little awkward, especially off-piste, because you have to go both very actively and preferably too fast. If you hold again and try to turn a turn, it will be really difficult, especially for a light rider.

Summary:
These are the best skis I owned and traveled, and I like them all the more I go.

Have now spent about 10 days on my XL. Unfortunately, I have not had the opportunity to go out of the field yet
(old noticed only). Therefore I can only assess the piste properties - the skis work
excellent in piste (cold snow, hard artificial snow & spring box), go best if you go actively and press
till in the turns. If you get tired of your legs and want to kick it off, it also goes well if the speed is high enough.
The skis do not fit well for cord swings and I experienced them as a heavy tongue in the humpback.

Can not understand people who match Stormrider XL with Völkl Supersport 6 with each other, totally different skis for different purposes. But myself, I go to Telemark on 174 cm long skiing and think it's right now that there's no better. Have tried most of the skis on the market. Can not think Supersport 6 is so great when you get to Telisar. However, with slalom, it will be right.
However, it can be said that a supersport superspeed costs 5000: - cheaper in Livigno than in Stockholm. Ridiculously...
Then the Stormrider costs 465 Euro so it's a bit too big difference. You earn (lose less) when you drive down and buy it there ...

Stable skis that plow up without difficulty. Is not an experienced rider, but still managed to get good control of the turns. Studs really if it's ice-cream. You do not get much rest, but it's important to swing a lot. Perfect in slopes with a few centimeters of lice, fields, chefs, and other minor obstacles. (184 cm long skis)

This very phenomenal skid scared my shit the first time I tested it. Additionally, it should be in a steep piste at the beginning of the season when both technology and leg strength were unleashed. I simply could not stop or turn on them, that's totally impossible to mess with. As soon as the back was planning a few hundred meters later, I had to take a serious thinker of what went wrong (and if I really remembered to pay in life insurance). This ski requires a little damn attack - and that was exactly what it got in the next rally. After that, I was sick of burning super-g turns in 200 knots - without any problems. Unfortunately, never got the chance to drive forest with them, but have understood that they can be a bit hard for short turns that may be required sometimes in that environment. Hence no femma.
However, I am horribly impatient by the person above who drives telemark with them. Not bad. I myself have trouble getting enough power in Rossignol B2 which, in comparison to the storm curtain, can be likened to over cooked spaghetti.
