Völkl Mantra (Page 4)

Strengths:
Cruel in pistons and streaks, extremely fast-paced regardless of the surface and ice-cushioning, as with a pistachio, you only have technology and strength enough to push.

Weaknesses:
too hard to get a good flow of fluff, works on open surfaces where the speed is high but in forests where it usually takes a little slower they are unfortunately not quite right

Summary:
Will new skis become soon to me when I'm sketchy looking at Katanan ..

Model year: 2008
Riding style: 99% offpist mostly forests, going for 30 years go a few days a week (live in Åre)
Length on the ski: 177 cm
Riders weight: 75 kg
Riders length: 172 cm

Strengths:
Because broken knee, the premiere has shot a year but here goes. Wonderful skiing that totally seems to lack the upper speed limit. Great grip on classic windpack. In big cutting turns it's just burning, the ski is absolutely wonderful and lies like an aprak Danish at the Roskilde Festival against the snow.

Weaknesses:
No elevator if you want to drive cha-cha-cha!

Summary:
Highly recommended!

Model year: 2007
Riding style: If I do, I'll go.
Length on the ski: 191 cm
Riders weight: 85 kg
Riders length: 192 cm

Strengths:
can handle all surfaces, even piste surprisingly well, drive straight across all the irregularities and is consistent. Feels stable at high speed.

Weaknesses:
Can not handle any, but all skis may be better on different things. It's an allround ski, so it's no-one.

Summary:
a good skiing which is fun to ride on. ROUND. cope with everything.

Model year: 2008
Riding style: all categories of offpiste as well as good in the piste
Length on the ski: 184 cm
Riders weight: 75 kg
Riders length: 177 cm

Strengths:
Gets to drive fast as slowly without problems with turns ...
A ski for the whole mountain and success

Weaknesses:
Maybe a little heavy and hard to find in the powder if it loosens ... but red on the back :)

Summary:
Best "full mountain ski I've tried"

Model year: 2008
Riding style: all
Length on the ski: 191 cm

Strengths:
It's like taking a ride, really, really speedboat.
But it's also because they're as basty when it's done fast.
They are fun outside the piste.

Weaknesses:
sluggish in flatbacks and not said madness from edge to edge.

Summary:
Hurton skis if you like to drive fast on all surfaces.

Model year: 2007
Riding style: Piste-powder-park-skierx

Strengths:
Good edge grip for its width.
Good flow to be so stiff.
Perfect balance between pistons and pillows.

Weaknesses:
Very few, if any, anybody. Does not come true actually.

Summary:
I am soon 40 (satan) have gone quite a bit backcountry, bummat in St.Anton but have become a little calmer in recent years. However, likes speed and a lot of G forces, but does not have the same power as before.
Mantran can do anything. Good mix between stability, edge grip without being too hard for fluff-fluff. Best skiing I had.

Model year: 2008
Riding style: Pillows 70%, pist and puckle 30%
Length on the ski: 184 cm
Riders weight: 90 kg
Riders length: 189 cm

Strengths:
Awesome, beautiful ski, which is good at all times
Extremely forgiving and easily maneuvered.

Weaknesses:
Can be perceived as soft ...

Summary:
I spent a half season in Chamonix a lot in the piste and much in the offpiste.
It's great to carve with.

Model year: 2008
Riding style: Really allround
Length on the ski: 184 cm
Riders weight: 90 kg
Riders length: 177 cm

Strengths:
Awesome ice grip! Getting on all surfaces, it will be an inconvenience e just pulling it through! A good allround ski.

Weaknesses:
If the ski seems boring in the piste, nothing happens. Good if you want to lie on stoora cut at high speed but if you are looking for a more playful ski with good turn in there are better options. Too heavy and stiff to be good at the park (in addition, little twintip)

Summary:
A good ski if you want to lie on big cuts at high speed and crushing everything in its path. I think it will be a little sad and one-sided.

Model year: 2007
Riding style: Pst powder
Length on the ski: 184 cm
Riders weight: 70 kg
Riders length: 185 cm

Strengths:
The absolute greatest advantage of these skis is its versatility. I have worked all the mountain sides of the entire year in a very changing bow and the skis have just continued to surprise. Mantran feels like a ski that grows with speed. It is soft enough to make it easy to cut into piles while not getting worried when the speed is increased and pre-slaughtered. Ready heavy skiers fine (I weigh 102 kg).

Weaknesses:
To mention something, Mantran may not keep stability at very high speeds. I compare with Völkl's classic G4 (precursor to AC4 an), as it was a freestyle skid with performance like a grand slalom and just got better the faster you went. On the other hand, G4an was not as fun to play as mantran probably for the above reason.

Summary:
A sophisticated all-round skid for advanced skiers.

Model year: 2007
Length on the ski: 191 cm
Riders weight: 102 kg
Riders length: 197 cm
