On a ski trip, Wastebusters has lots of gear in Wanaka. A ski instructor (a handsome Austrian Ski instructor) showed me these Supersport Ski's and said they're a great ski, so I got them. They must be well ahead of their time, because I've since found out they're a 2005/2006 ski. I have 150's my sister bought, and these are 161's but a superior ski... so calling into the rental asked what size I'm meant to ski. He said to try the Demo ski's.. WOW! These Supersport must be well ahead of their time, they were a far superior ski to the new ski's.. The new Carbon Fibre ski though, is a new technology compared to the Supersport, and it was a superior ski for turns and weight of course.. the Carbon Fibre almost turned for you itself.. & 5cm shorter, so I found the shorter ski better, easier to control and turn.... so hopefully I will get the new Carbon Fibre ski, because it's so much fun to ski on.. light weight, sharp turns and very strong. Yet, the Carbon Fibre new ski, C6's they're called, and this Supersport old 2005/2006 ski left the others for dust.. at least that's my experience. I only find the Supersport slightly longer than I'd like, but it's the shortest length they made, the only thing I'd improve on the ski is the graphics.. a gorgeous Red, like the traditional wooden ski's, & maybe a little decoration on it, a stripe with a bit of zing.. to give it a modern lift. In fact, I don't know why the ski's don't have the pointed tips, the old ski's looked great, they didn't ski as well... but they looked the part.
