Argentière – Les Grands Montets

Skiing at Les Grands Montets northern slopes is an absolute world class experience. The ski system forms part of Chamonix and is situated in the valley near the village of Argentière. There are regular ski shuttle busses running from Chamonix to Argentière, a distance of about 9 km and 15 minutes.

Located only 1.5 hour by car from Genéva, this is a popular spot with both Italians and other Europeans. The fact that Argentiere is only a stone’s throw from lavish Chamonix is an extra draw card.

If you want to do something else then skiing while here, then there are plenty of activities on offer in Argentiere. One option is to head to Chamonix. Another idea is to try randonnèe activities, something that can be described as a hike on skis. Both the activity and the amazing views will almost knock you over.
At the end of the day, most skiers choose to relax in the village. Go for a beer at the famous ”The Office bar” or indulge in a hand crafted pizza at the ”Stone-bar”
