Been skiing there since childhood, Borgafjäll is incredible! Good and very nice staff, very hidden place so very few go but oh my god what good skiing it is!

Borgafjäll is a really cozy ski resort at the end of the road that offers really nice forest skiing, even if it is limited. Of the two lifts that the facility has, only the one on the castle side actually offers any proper riding. If that lift is stopped for some reason, you will have a day with very limited riding.

Something else that severely limits free skiing is the scooter traffic that runs very close to the ski slope. Skiing that is easily accessible from the lift is quickly driven up by the snowmobilers. It both limits the available riding and opens the door to accidents. I myself have encountered scooters very close to the descent, and it is not so fun.

Forest skiing in Borga is very good, but limited. Had it not been for the scooter traffic that goes so close to the ski resort, the rating would have been a five. Now there will only be a second.

Nice riding but a lot of riding has been closed off and restricted in recent years.
Above all, the Avasjö side. The Borga side is still reasonably clear, but it is not the same nice open Borga mountain.
Unfortunately, we didn't recognize ourselves when we were up there in recent years.

Fantastic for families with children. The children ride the button lift for free. While the adults can take turns riding.

Great foundation for many beautiful turns!! Magically!

As everyone says, the riding here is very good, and the staff is great.

Unfortunately, all the open fields and a lot of the forest skiing are destroyed by snowmobilers who are out bushwhacking. The fact that scooters are banned does not matter. It becomes very difficult to ride when you are constantly faced with deep furrows and hard edges after the progress of the scooters.

Sad, and something that unfortunately lowers the rating of an otherwise fantastic place.

Two lifts and a 300m drop may not sound so impressive. But all drop height can be used for fantastic forest skiing with huge surfaces. Despite the fact that a lot of "freeriders" gather when it snows, the forest is not crowded.

Borgafjäll is one of the country's most snow-sure places, receiving snow both when low pressure comes from the east and the west. One of the few ski facilities that does well without snow cannons (= no icy slopes).

In good weather, there are several classic summit tours with a drop of 700 meters nearby. Or a tour in the forest/clearcut.
Very pleasant and inviting atmosphere in the village.

Real gem for everyone. Technical forest skiing in which requires many quick decisions to find jumps and logs.
The slopes are piste, but there are always large unpaved areas at the edges where you can really get awesome cushion rides.
Few people also make you get as many rides as you want in one day. Fantastic.

Fredrik tipped about Oxfjället in such an attractive way, so we went there. A little difficult to find the route he described, but we went up the power line street on the north side of the mountain and went down in the same direction. Fantastic riding in sparse spruce forest. No drop to brag about, but Fredrik was right that no one else was there!

We traveled by motorhome, 3 children aged 6.6 and 9 years. We stayed on the 69 North side. Very helpful staff, good small ski shop, ski school and a good lunch restaurant with homemade food.

The only downside for me was the anchor lifts, alone with three children, two of whom were not yet completely safe with the anchor lift, it was a bit tricky.
