Chamrousse reviews

Chamrousse is a small ski resort but popular with Frenchmen. Compared to many other French resorts Chamrousse is a little lower which makes the slopes slightly shorter. It is well suited for families with children, but also offers very good off-piste skiing when weather permits.
Chamrousse is located near the city of Grenoble, which leaves buses on and off in about 45 minutes.

Absolutely OK place with a lot of families with children. The ride is quite well cohesive so the place fits families o groups that want to keep together. There is no wrong slope or fall height, but you can not compare with the biggest / best resorts such as Val d'Isère, 3 Dalarna, Chamonix, etc. A lot of possibilities for small lice nests between trees and so on. The French, because it is mostly French here, often makes such difficult skiing. If you want to go fast in hilly terrain, you can always go out for the old-backed race from the OS-68 where Jean-Claude Killy ruled. I am no big jibber (yet so long) but they have a park that I perceived as quite OK. The view of the whole Grenobledalen is actually a bit powerful.
In summary, a nice place for those who do not want the highest / steepest / worst and not least for families with children.
