Chamrousse, the picturesque mountain community and ski area, was established as the Olympic Village for the 1968 Winter Olympics in the French Alps and has since continuously grown in popularity. Located in a geographically advantageous location, the Chamrousse ski area is considered to be among the most snow-sure in the Alps, while offering generous sunshine well into the evening. On the weekends, many visitors gather in this ski resort, which is located at an altitude of 1,700 meters and offers slopes that range from 1,600 to 2,250 meters in height.
Chamrousse is particularly attractive to winter athletes from Grenoble, only 15 kilometers away, who see the ski area as their ski paradise just around the corner. With almost 100 kilometers of pistes and slopes for every taste and level, Chamrousse impresses not only with its skiing possibilities but also with a breathtaking panoramic view of the nearby city of Grenoble and the high Alpine glacier world.

The Chamrousse ski station, with its two districts and the charming chalet village of Bachat-Bouloud, is very close to the slopes of the ski area and has 23 lifts, including the modern La Croix de Chamrousse cable car. This creates ideal conditions for a relaxing skiing holiday with the whole family.
