Cranmore Mountain Resort

Ski resorts in USA
Located just above the village of North Conway in New Hampshire, Cranmore Mountain Resort is a classic East Coast resort with roots far back in U.S. skiing history. Cranmore was an early adopter of organized alpine skiing in the region and has over the years played an important role in the sport's establishment in the northeastern United States.
The ski area offers varied piste skiing with a clear eastern character: relatively short but distinctive slopes, naturally steeper sections and a terrain that requires edge control rather than high speed. There are both easier slopes near the base area and more challenging runs higher up the mountain, as well as elements of forest skiing when the snow conditions allow.

Cranmore is also known for its strong focus on ski culture and development, with a long tradition of clubs, competitions and instructor training. The combination of easily accessible location, historical weight and technical skiing makes Cranmore a popular resort among experienced East Coast skiers rather than a pure destination.
