Good system with varying rides. If you do not get the first scratches down right next to the lifts, you got all your own tracks! Lots of go but the problem is a bit of Syndrome, the end of the slopes is clean transport, boring. We got cold with sneezing, but I still know that the potential in Red Mountain and Whitewater is bigger (where no snowfall fell for us).

No, no elevators directly. Do not understand where they got the good reputation. I had expected more of the terrain. Never really challenging. The challenging places are locked off and for some strange reason, lifts were always met when you got to climb. No, it will be average.
The hostel, on the other hand, Raging Elk !!!! The best ever, stay there if you are going to live somewhere. Have never had such fun as there. Grade 6/5, they hit the ceiling and some more.

Yuk! What disappointed we stayed. When there was a lot of snow (about 5 dm) the system collapsed. It had not shot the parking lot so it became the worst car to the hill (about 1 hour). Only two / three slopes were open and this was the kids backs. Fun to buy expensive ski passes when it only opens 10% of the system.
Go to White water, redmountain or Mt Baker instead - it can handle a lot of snow and that there is better mood there ....

Small pillow hole with 9m snow a year, however, avoid El Ninjo-years. Nice varied rides in woods and open spaces. Nice. Many Swedes are hanging here, not so strange. No impressive fall height or lifts, but when it's snowing, it's a top spot anyway. Sleepy but quiet city. Together with Kicking Horse, my favorite resort in Canada.

just got home after a totally ok week in Fernie. However, I have to tell you that I've probably averted me a little more ... No impressive slopes or falls. A little offpiste was at least because it was pretty good one day. They have had some bad luck with the sno team over the last few weeks but think it will be a problem.
If you're looking for a night-time ski resort, you're welcome to go ahead. Fernie's pretty darling like some bars. In recent times, the town has borne a massive focus on families with children.
In summary, as well as the Alps

Fernie is a real swedish hello, you can see that you can actually find good coffee down town. When there is a dump, Fernie turns into a small paradise, it's been a long time since it's snowfall. Definitely worth a visit.

Wonderful place. Wonderful pillows. Certainly no impressive fall heights or size of mountains as in the alps. But the breeders can only dream about the amount of snow and, above all, the dry snow that falls in Fernie. Then it's not wrong to let everyone "think best for seasonal" types find themselves in many places in the Alps. In Canada, it is the "laid back" that applies, back to nature. "Was there Feb 2002.

Ok, what's up with people? Fernie is not good. Yeah, that's a lot of trouble, but what do you do when the mountains are like in Are? Certainly, there is a good deal, but it is true that they are about 500m long, which makes it impossible to get up. Always talk about 'Fish Bowl' and 'Mongolia'. Just come home from fernie after a 2 week long journey. What a place. It was over 3 meters of snow and when the powder drops it's easy, really easy. I had my two funniest weeks in life in the little pillow cave. In the evenings there is not much to do but what skiing there is here. Clearly the best place I've ever been to.

It is snowing a lot and the mountain looks quite different than it did last year.

All bushes are overshadowed and the trees look like snow ghosts.
