Absolutely ok ride.
But if you are still in the hooks around Lillehammer you should head to Kvitfjell, longer and steeper slopes. significantly better skiing.

- One of Norway's biggest Big Air, well-prepared big and small
hafpipe, quarterpipe and a drøss with nice smaller big jumps.
Always a lot of snow, well groomed trails (unfortunately not so
many blacks) with good length and fall height. Two fast 4x
lifts, some slowly 4x and some t-hooks.
Holidays often on hafjell, most recently Easter 2002, when it was like
always many live shows and events in the ground and on
After-Skien took it all off!

Try Hafjell you too :)

can not agree with the others about what they think. Maybe it's a good place for those who have never gone before, but for those who have gone a few years will be disappointed. The place is so built up that you can go to the top and go down the entire ski system into a sweep.
But do you mind when you get down to the slopes? so you are a "good" rider, choose another place like Trysil for e.x

Hafjell is an Ok ski resort with long fine hills. What is missing here is the slopes where you have a big fall all the way. (Here are flat sides with a steep hanger inside). At times there may also be a lot of ice in the ground (read at the bottom of the plant). Also misses off piste opportunities, even if they exist.
Great opportunities for those who drive snowboarding, with their own pipe and big jump.
On weekends and holiday times there may be too many people on the slopes (when this is the case, other facilities in the area are recommended eg Gausdal Ski Center).

Nice facility with high fall height and long slopes with sloping slopes. Lots of people on weekends, much less in the middle of the weeks. Good lifting system with several adjustable chairlifts.
