Good distance for us 08:s and in comparison with Romme and Kungsberget I think Järvsö is a better alternative. Good slopes, lovely views and a cozy little community.

Järvsö is one of the best prepared facilities I have ever visited in Sweden. Like skiing on a salon floor with no surprises, provided the conditions are reasonable. However, it is difficult to get smooth slopes if it is +8°C during the day and +2°C during the night (like 3/3 2025).

Child-friendly with restaurants, barbecue areas and toilets here and there. It gets a little too crowded for my taste during the school holidays but if you are out on time you still get good skiing and it will be convenient to switch to the cross-country tracks at 11 o'clock when the families with children invade.

Lovely slopes but so badly prepped pure puckelpiste in the slope and so icy.

Cozy, nice and just right!

The new chairlift on the north side is cleverly placed and distributes the visitors in a good way. Manchester mornings on Saturdays are a little gem for those in the know. Not a giant system, but varied and well distributed, with good opportunities for everyone to find suitable slopes. Plus for friendly and age-mixed staff.

The expansion for season 23/24 delivers. The new 6-chair lift and the blue slopes move people away from the lifts that feed the steeper slopes. We were lucky with the snow so we went off-piste pretty much the whole time. Became a high ratio riding vs lift.

I ordered food and they said it would take a maximum of 25 minutes. After 1 hour I got the food and I paid SEK 65 for a basket of fries. Never buy food from järvsjöbacken

Really good, well groomed slopes and good park. Cozy restaurants and no congestion.

A cozy system for smaller children but far too poor lift capacity for the number of people

Here, they have failed to meet the queues in relation to housing construction

Otherwise for families with small children it is perfectly ok
When there is a good supply of snow, the young people spend time in the forest areas.
But if you want to challenge yourself on long slopes, it quickly gets crowded on relatively narrow slopes.

Järvsö is ok, but nothing you spend more than a day in. It is claimed that there are 20 slopes, but it is in fact with small transport sections. Real slopes are only 10. The fall height of 200 meters means that you do not have time to get the speed up properly. But otherwise, as I said, a nice little system.
