Kaprun/Kitzsteinhorn

Ski resorts in Austria
Snow guarantee, i.e. sparkling white snow all year round. The Kitzsteinhorn Glacier at the small ski village of Kaprun, about a 15-minute drive outside Zell am See in western Austria, can boast of being the country's very first glacier ski area. It opened for year-round skiing as early as 1965. In addition, the Kaprun-Kitzsteinhorn is in a top-100 position on the list of the world's highest skis, not to be rejected. From here you have a view of 30 Alpine peaks. The ski area can be reached via the glacier lift Glacier Lift, which can take powder lovers up to 984,3 feet above sea level. During the winter, you can ski both on the glacier and on the Schmittenhöhe, there is plenty of natural snow and wide slopes. In addition to the slopes, there is a really good park for jumps like jib. During the summer, only alpine superstars come here. As of the 2019/20 season, Kaprun's home mountain Maiskogel will be merged with Kitzsteinhorn, and Saalbach-Hinterglemm and Zell am See will now be included in a single lift pass.

Best off-piste! Beautiful views! And now directly to the glacier from the "small" hill in the village with the new lift.
