Klövsjö/Storhogna reviews (Page 3)

Ski resorts in Sweden
What do you think about Klövsjö/Storhogna?
mmmmm

To begin with, I think Klövsjö is one of Sweden's worst ski resorts. Fun with a little black backs, a good seat lift for such a small place and a nice park, but the whole place turns into ice after 11 o'clock. The bays are boring and there is no variation and the whole place is generally uniform.

Biggest is almost better, the steepest slope is hardly blue, but Biggest can be fun if it has snowed a bit. Plus, "flaked" over Fjälliften can be a bit hemisphere if there is a lot of snow.

But to sum up, if you are going to Vemdalen, Klövsjö or Storhogna is not the place to live, even if the hotel can be cool if you are not there to go. May be worth one or two days, but preferably stay in Björnrike or Vemdalsskalet.

Spent an open day and a few winter weeks in Klövsjö when I was little. Now I was there again on December 21st of the day and Klövsjö is, as I remembered, some really good slopes and relatively sparse with people. The Supersvängen and the Grand Slamackack are two according to Swedish measurements, very good and nice slopes! =) Now they have also got a new quick 6-chair lift for a really good ride for the money. Really much fresher and nicer dining place in addition.

Recommending people who are in Vemdalen to vary a little and go for a few days in Klövsjö too! (In windy weather on the Skalet it is often milder in Klövsjö, whose slopes are below the tree line)

Okay, it's as close as it is, traveled from Söderhamn in about 2.40 hours.

Klövsjö is great value!
The positive:
The black slopes are go'a like a fan.
Calm and relaxed atmosphere
Beautiful northerners in the ski shop
You should easily live in the newly built luxury houses 20m from the elevator if you are there;)
A plus is also that you can go to all Skistar facilities in Vemdalen
By the way no lift köer, (been there at the sports & easterlove)

The negative:
Bad chair lift, but there is a new one now!
A little few backs

In short: a really nice place to be recommended

I'm looking forward to plussing a little bit for Klövsjö, which I think is the best option in "Vemdalen", even though it is the city that gets my attention. No party place and not many backs, but the ones there are really good for being in Sweden. Relatively long, good slope and lovely loop edges that give a little alp feeling. In addition, it is often good preparation and no queues as it does not usually be so good people there. Extra good now is also the new 6-chair lift.

Good park with both big and small jumps, would be a little more rails only. Nice staff and good hotel. Good offpiste in big tall but no park :(
Many slopes with both steep and slippery slopes.
Until the 08/09 season, be a new 6-chair lift and hit the park :)
A little way between big-haired ch klövsjö :(
A good place to go to have been there for 3 years irad now.

Klövsjö! <3

Have been going for 6 years there now, started as a beginner. Defenitively recommended! Not much with people on the slopes, calm and nice.
The grand slalom hill is highly recommended, especially on the right hand side! The slopes are good, no complaints. Nice lovely black backs, but also for the beginner. The ravine has been my favorite too, it's a red back.
 Good for family and friends!
The fun park varies from year to year, but this year, the red jumps in the fun park are not enjoyed by me. But the big jumps and the couterpip (spell?) Are good!

There is also a good offpiste, can go on the limits a lot.
Nice people and pleasant. Good and cozy cottage. Nyrustad resturang and afterski, finement! Klövsjö grows. Next season (2008-2009) comes a 6-chair lift (read on ski slopes) ...
To go a little quiet, you can choose the wreck on the top.

But Storhogna is booooooring; only recommended on sunny and windy days

Good combination and cooperation Klövsjö and Storhogna between. The area is well suited for family vacations in a genuine mountain environment, with possibilities for good skiing in well-prepared slopes, cross-country skiing in slopes and shorter skiing on the Kalfjället with Storhogna as a starting point.

Easy the coolest and best of vemdals "mountains" ... good black things in Klövsjö, parked park, nice ....

a little slow chairlift on Klövsjö and a sick mass of sunkiga buttons, but skiing is good, varied .... in mixed even richer steep .... tough environment .... good.

Pretty ok place, very offpist with sneezing. The park was nice like that, a little bit shabby, but it's good.

Beautiful winter as summer ..
Works extraordinarily as ski resort. Ski holidays go skiing, go to party, then choose Lindvallen or instead.
Child-friendly, but also offers a surprisingly good off-piste.

Close to Vemdalen, Björnrike, etc.

It is also very beautiful in the summer. Klövsjö is said to be Sweden's most beautiful city (eg by Klövsjöborna itself ...) and I'm probably prepared to meet (Klövsjö descendant in straight descending direction) ...
