I went for my first freeride adventure to Krippenstein after buying some Atomic Sugar Daddy skis, as i work just down the road as a ski instructor it had to be tried out i have always wanted to try freeride so a friend of mine who skis there a lot guided me around, and i have to say it was awesome but of course i have nothing to base it and i'm new to the freeride scene of course i've skied of piste.

I found that you have a good variety of areas from easy to hard there are some drop offs with good landing areas, there is even a cave you can ski through it was closed off when iwas there but i was shown it and have seen videos of people skiing it. Apparently there is 30kms of off pistse, i must say the scenery took my breathe away, it was like being on top of the world. I would say its worth a look if your new to it and want to give it a go, or if you are a expert.

yeah !! Krippenstein does not seem to have much to offer if you starve blindly on the map. but there are unexpected possibilities. forests, caves, kalfjäll and an old gondola. Just because it looks so small it may be forgotten, which makes it crazy if you do not want to get crowded. Here's a crazy red bull thing, white rush. close inpa heavenly. Even in really bad weather you can drive well.
