We have been here twice and think it is perfectly ok. Sure you miss the bigger facilities but with teenagers of school age, when you can only go on holidays or weekends, it is close from Stockholm so the trip there and home only takes a little over 2 hours each way.
The first time we were here there was plenty of space at the barbecue areas, especially on the south side. Dry and nice birch wood for the grill.
This year there were more people and a little short of space but, again on the south side, space for 8 people, although not in the cabins but the weather was ok and you are dressed to be outdoors regardless. You don't have to eat exactly the same time as everyone else...
Have only grilled or eaten at Miss Filipssons so do not know how it is at other eateries.
At Fröken, the food has been good and although it is a bit expensive, it is not much more expensive than eating lunch at the restaurants around work on a regular working day, especially if you eat buffet. Last time the company before had not set the table so I asked the staff and they would set the table for us but they did not show up so we had to set the table ourselves. Don't know whether to complain about the staff or the company before. But it is not very hard to carry away some trays even if it should not be necessary.
The slopes are not very long and the black ones even shorter but still think it's ok.
A tip is to e.g. take the chairlift for 8 people (Kungs8:an (C)) and then take Korridoren (15) to Johans backe (1) and keep a little speed at the end so you come back to Kungs8:an.
Stefans backe (20) is also quite nice.
We have stayed at Hyllan and Terrassen, both accommodations have been fresh. Nothing to complain about.
Gives Kungsberget 3 stars for the facility + 1 star for the proximity to Stockholm, the accommodation and for the staff on site who have always greeted and been nice.

Good slopes for children but completely useless for those with babies. There is nowhere to sit and breastfeed or put the stroller. The changing tables are awkwardly placed and there is nowhere to put your baby down. The restaurants are like a maze so you have to carry your baby and tray and everything up the stairs. Also strange that you have to pre-book equipment.

First and last time we come here. Have for many years gone to different mountain resorts in Sweden but chose Kungsberget as our first ski vacation with the children as it is close. The service is lousy, got into our accommodation late and the response we received when we wondered how we would pass the time when it is -20 outside and we have three small children in the car was "aa but now it is so".

Snowplow drivers who are angry and point their fingers at passing skiers with children who have gone to the side anyway.

Lift passes that are relatively expensive, especially considering that there are hardly any slopes open. Despite a lot of snow.

The only positive experience was the ski school for the children with good ski teachers.

Next time we would rather go a few extra hours for a good experience.

We would like to highlight the fantastic ski instructor who made our ski experience so memorable. With patience and professionalism and a tremendous ability to adapt teaching to individual needs, Gustaf manages to make skiing both fun and educational.
Thank you for your commitment. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Good slopes and nice staff! Except one lift attendant named Benjamin was rude to me (I am eleven years old). But otherwise very good and close place!

Often very many people so it gets crowded on the slopes

The absolute best facility for families with children who have just started riding, and children who are a few years old, and parents who ride reasonably well. It has everything needed on a not too large surface. Parking near the children's slope and restaurants that never really feel annoyingly crowded. A very nice place which, unfortunately, ends up in the shadow of concessions, and inflated alpine copies like Järvsö (I'm from Hälsingland after all).

Agree with the last ones who have written here. Have been in Kungsberget with the children for the past 10 years and it has not improved. Worse service, more queues and clearly more expensive.
The experience did not get better after the last visit, there was a sofa bed missing which made it problematic with sleeping places... a compensation of 10% was their last offer when 2 out of 8 sleeping places were missing. Quite boring tone in emails etc.

This was the worst treatment I have experienced 😡 had rebooked very early and chosen an earlier date and now when we are going to go the change is not in their system. Whereupon she offers a new accommodation for SEK 2,500 more and a rebooking cost of approx. SEK 550
They couldn't meet halfway even though the fault was theirs
First and last time I go there

Fredrik is so right. Packaged and priced like a real ski resort.. but short, flat slopes, bad park and poor forest.
