I was in Meribel Village v. 9 with the family and stayed at hotel Le Tremplin, 4-star with half board located 50 m from the piste.
- hotels are very expensive in general,
- exclusive resort,
- strategically located between Val Thorens and Courchevel,
- cozy village,
- only 2 h from Geneva by taxi,
- Mont Vallon fantastic skiing in good weather,
- many slopes of varying difficulty, no risk of getting tired,
- not impressed by the infrastructure (lifts), compared to other major ski systems in the Alps,
- older lifts which however worked very well, no problems at all,
- had for the first time in the Alps lift queues in the valley when everyone was going up 5 - 10 min.

Will gladly go back - Merbel Village strategically located between Val Thorens and Courchevel. Cozy village, exclusive hotels, consistently expensive. Not a budget resort.

Great skiing, fantastic views.

A delayed resignation, omits changes that are not permanent. I lived there in 1985 and lived in Meribel Mottaret and felt that the location of the village was perfect, one could easily reach both Courchevel and Val Thorens. Great snowfall snowfall had a 24h snowfall that resulted in 60cm lice and sunshine for the rest of the week.
Favorite areas in the three valleys of La Masse and Chime de Caron. Hope this also applies this year, will return in 2018.

Me and my family have been to Meribél several times and it is always as wonderful! A large lift system that allows you to quickly get between the different valleys. What I have experienced quite sun proof and even good with snow. One year out of the five we've been there, it's been bad with snow.

Do not know anything about different places, however, either about nightlife or the like.

However, anyone can advise to go to Meribél and the three valleys! Absolutely wonderful :)

This is the first village in the alps I visited. I was 15-16 and went with some compasses. I have since sought the same cozy feeling elsewhere but it's hard to find. The system is huge and easily accessible just from the meribel valley. As I said, it was a long time since I was there, and those possibile feelings could coincide with the fact that my alpine friend's seam was smoking there.

I'll be back again. :-)

Hmmm. why has nobody written anything about meribel?
I was there all the last season marks and, of course, I met five Swedes throughout the season, so many do not go there. But it's a cannon. The first time I stay in the Alps has nothing to compare with, but the world's largest skiing system is not small. It's called De Tre Dalarna, but really it's four. Courchevel, Val Thorens, Les Menuries (how it spelled) and Meribel then. I could not afford to buy lift cards for the whole system when I got there, so it just became Meribel. But that was enough. It's big as it is. Located high, good lift system, can find good pillows. Cozy city. Plus! In contrast to Val Thorens who is supertricky and reluctant.
Good location. If you get there you are close to all the other three systems. You take twenty-thirty minutes over the "limits".
I was totally sick of fun. It may be a little fun that you are almost one man Swedish too. SO, it feels like you are abroad!
