Too far, too small, limited Skiing, pricy

Cosy skiarea. Family friendly

High altitude, nice runs, lots of snow and no lift queues. In Hochgurgl also a little folkbi slopes.
Mostly hotels in the village so limited with ordinary, simpler restaurants.

Good place with modern lifts and good and long slopes. No place to stay a whole week maybe but it is close to Sölden among other things, takes about 25-30 minutes by ski bus.
Good with cable car between the resorts.
Week 9 was quite busy with people.

A very high-altitude ski resort, which makes it very snow-sure. There has been plenty of snow the years we have been there, both in February and late season in April. Oversized lift system which makes lift queues rare. Wide nice slopes, with good snow, there is also a lot of untouched snow for those who are interested in it. It is also possible to get down to Sölden by bus to change ski system some day if desired. However, the village is quite small and there is not much in addition to skiing. It is also reasonably more expensive than other ski resorts in Austria.

No stupid place at the end of the season. Was there in early April and then it was a lot of snow. In Hochgurgl there is a collection of hotels of good standard with ski-in / out. The solar gas on the terrace is not to be played with. In terms of skiing, there is a lot to do, especially if it is snowing = very easily accessible terrain for lift-off-piste.
It is a long cabin to Obergurgl and back. The slopes are standard red and blue.

If you just want good skiing, avoid the party can and above all avoid lift queues go here. Why do you want to pay to stand in a lift queue .. The village is high and gives a good quality of snow.

All hotels are of a very high standard which is reflected in the price of the rooms. If you have the opportunity to add these sums that the hotels cost, I recommend it. The hotels probably have half board as standard. There is probably almost no budget option in the village. Best hotel is in Obergurgl and best skiing is in Hochgurgl.
It is true as previous reviewers wrote, there are some English upper class who are tourists and some Germans, which and reflects the price of lunch on the slopes or beer in the village.

If you live at Edelweiss in Obergurgl, it is so close to the lift that it could almost go from the ski room at the hotel.

Great skiing. If you go to Søgden, this is within easy reach with the local buses.

Two very nice ski resorts. Nice slopes and good terrain where there are good opportunities for offpiste. Great restaurants and nice lifts. When we were there during week 10 we were not in the elevator queens once. Very nice that Sölden is also included in the lift card. It takes only 25 minutes by bus down to Sölden. That the place does not get 5 stars is because I miss glacier and afterski with a little more drag. The village is nice but it's no party place.
