Oberstdorf/Nebelhorn

Quite ok facility, but not the place to go if you choose between all the resorts in the Alps. If you go to southern Germany and want snow under your feet it's definitely a good idea to take a trip. Effective to get there by car or train.

Looked at Nordisk Skid-Vm and smashed out in the slopes for 3 days and managed to meet amazingly nice pudersnö relatively easily accessible. Limited with talented skiers a week but on the weekend the local "kids" came and competed for the snow.

(A sidetrack tip, go there where there are major championships. Much of the hotel capacity is busy with TV teams, organizers, participants and spectators with a high pitch above the appropriate. Far from a fraction, have time or want to drive lice together with you :-)

Oberstdorf is one of the few places that has a skiing trip. A curiosa that you should bring with you. For me, it's completely unthinkable to freely abandon the gravity they make in such a giant jumping back, and in addition, RIPE about 200m ... The crown tower looks ridiculous in high comparison.

The resort (arna) in Oberstdorf is a bit broken, but the cabin that goes right up from the village itself gives access to the correct mountain driving. Like Åre, but better :-) Most of the rides on Nebelhorn take place in a valley / casserole and much of the orientation can be done in the cabin. Ok forest skiing in the other big plant which I do not remember the name on.

From the top view, flat Germany spreads out on one side and on the other side the entire alp massif rises. Powerful view on a good day.
