Oppdal

Ski resorts in Norway
In the middle of central Norway is a ski resort well worth visiting, we are of course talking about Oppdal. The resort has a total of 17 lifts and 28 slopes, but the resort is best known for its fantastic off-piste. It is said to be perhaps the best in the whole of Scandinavia. There are also plenty of other activities, such as two snow parks plus a large children's area.
For those who want to combine the ski holiday with other snow activities, there is the opportunity to try curling, cross-country skiing and ice climbing. Oppdal's highest mountain peak rises 1,300 metres above sea level and the highest drop in the area is 715 metres, good for a Norwegian ski resort. The area consists of three interconnected lift systems, and a single lift pass covers all three. Before you're done with the mountain, you need to try out the black slopes in Hovden. In addition to trembling thighs, you're guaranteed to have a really goofy grin once you get down the piste.
