Paoli Peaks

Located in southern Indiana, Paoli Peaks is the state's largest alpine ski area, with a focus on efficient skiing rather than dramatic mountain terrain. The slope makes maximum use of the hilly landscape and offers a clear vertical drop that provides surprisingly long and continuous runs for the region.

The skiing is clearly piste-oriented, with well-prepared slopes suitable for both technical training and relaxed laps. The steeper sections are gathered in the main system and provide a consistent slope, while the easier slopes provide good opportunities for progression and everyday skiing. Night skiing is an important part of Paoli Peak's identity and makes the resort especially popular with local riders after work.

Snow safety is largely based on an expanded snow cannon system, which means that the season can often be kept stable even during milder winters. The lifts are positioned for quick turnarounds, minimizing transport and maximizing time on the slopes.

Paoli Peaks is not a destination for big ski trips, but a clear and well-functioning ski slope where the focus is on piste quality, efficient skiing and accessibility – a facility that shows how alpine skiing can work far from the classic mountain areas.
