Ruosniemi Ski

Ruosniemi Ski is a small urban ski area near Pori in western Finland. With 98 feet of vertical drop and a longest run of 755 feet, the skiing is centered on short slopes, ski training, and first turns rather than long downhill runs. There are four slopes, including a separate practice hill for beginners.

The main slopes are served by a T-bar lift and a button lift, while the practice hill has a free magic carpet. Two red runs offer a bit more challenge than the easier descent, but the ski area is compact. All slopes have lighting and artificial snow, and night skiing makes the facility convenient for a ski session after school or work.

When snow conditions permit, a snow park is built on the third slope. A ski school, rental shop, and café are also available on-site. Ruosniemi is best suited to beginners, families with children, and locals who want to practice their technique without traveling to a larger ski resort.
