Saklikent

Saklıkent is a small ski resort in the Taurus Mountains, just 31.1 miles from Antalya on the Mediterranean coast. The ski area is located between 1,850 and 2,1804.5 feet above sea level and has a few lifts with a limited number of slopes. The terrain consists of open, sunny slopes rather than technical runs.

This is a resort best suited for beginners and families who want to try skiing during a winter trip to the Antalya region. Intermediate skiers can enjoy themselves for a day or two, but advanced skiers find few challenges. The great experience is rather the contrast – being able to ski in the morning and swim in the sea in the afternoon.

The facilities are simple with ski rentals, cafes and a smaller range of accommodation, but the proximity to Antalya means that many people live in the city. The atmosphere is relaxed and local, with few international visitors. Saklıkent is not a destination for an entire ski holiday, but as a unique day trip from the coast, it's hard to beat.
