Sierra Nevada

Ski resorts in Spain
Many of us fantasize about being able to go skiing in the morning and end the day on a beach in a 68-degree Mediterranean sea. In Sierra Nevada, Spain, this is reality.
On a sunny day you can stand at 3,398 meters above sea level and look out over the sparkling Mediterranean sea before you go down. Despite the proximity to both the airport and city life, there are few skiers who choose to come here.

Even though there are off-piste opportunities early in the season, Sierra Nevada is no snow paradise. On the other hand, they have chosen to invest a lot in freestyle skiing, with seven parks scattered on the mountain. Two gondolas take the skiers up to the middle station, where chairlifts transport the riders to the 124 slopes that are offered.

When the night comes around, Sierra Nevada is on its toes. With good nightlife and a variety of venues, there might be a chance that you do not feel your best the following day. The difference is that everything happens on Spanish time so you can expect late dinners and even later club nights.
