Stubaier Gletscher reviews

Was in Stubaier a few days in week 8. Great skiing. Missed the last snowfall so it was a little bad with snow in the offpiste but the potential is great. However, got some nice turns anyway.
Stayed in Mutterberg Sporthotell, located right by the lift so it is Ski in Ski out and the hotel is high class.
Drove car down but Stubaier is about 1 hour from Innsbruck so it is a short transfer if you take the train or plane.

Nice slopes, cozy villages, good grocery stores and apartments to rent

Well there in hell, did not like they looked so great. However, be very bad weather and then. If you like off-piste or family, they are really good, but the fun park there is not really that good. Though a really nice view o up at the top there are a lot of off-piste you can drive!

Did a season there in my youth. Not really challenging rides, but you're ready to put your legs back and knock away a bit, you can find nice scratches (unfortunately, remember the scratches but ask the locals). Not much competition for the nice snow since it's almost exclusively Germans and Austrians there. A bunch of bums is always there, but where does not it? The proximity to Innsbruck is also really nice!

Glacier hit this summer between Sweden's matches in Fussball. Wonderful beautiful, it was really off season. We were 20 in the piste. 500-600 fall height meters are not ashamed. Unfortunately, only openly had a limited area. 20 degrees of heat certainly affected the skiing. Two top days in any case. Coming back summer 2008 when it is the European Championships in fussball. The whole valley is really nice.

one of Austria's telis-mekkas. great place, nice opportunities and never crowded as the people fly the glacier as soon as it snows in the valleys.
