Located in Plymouth in central New Hampshire, Tenney Mountain is a classic New England slope with more to bite into than many people expect. With a vertical drop around 1410.8 feet and a terrain that mixes well-prepared slopes with really good forest skiing, this is a facility that suits both families and skiers who want a little more challenge.
The ski area has 45 slopes over about 45 hectares of skiable area, and the lift system is simple but functional with three lifts (triple chair, double chair and a Poma/trailer lift). For park riders, there is a newer park that can be reached by rope pull, and with lighting for evening laps when it is open for it.
Tenney also has a rather chequered history. The mountain emerged during the 60s, closed in 2010, returned skiing again in 2018, took a break during the pandemic years - and has since 2023 been up and running again with lift-borne operation.
