Elk Mountain Ski Resort

Elk Mountain is located in northeastern Pennsylvania and is clearly different from many other ski resorts in the region by its more alpine character. The mountain rises steeply from the landscape and skiing is characterized by longer fall lines and a clearer slope than is usual in the state.

The facility is relatively compact and lacks major ancillary activities, which contributes to skiing being at the center. Lift queues are often manageable, especially outside weekends and high season.
