Folgefonna

Was there in the beginning of July 2018 and feel that Folgefonna is a very good facility for summer skiing, There is also the possibility of cross-country skiing up the glacier.It has a lift with a decent drop height about 250 m, there are two red slopes with good fall height and the ground is really hard and good, despite the plus degrees (intensive salting fixes this). When we were there it was really good weather, brilliant sunshine and warm and nice.
Experience that the facility is managed very well and the very well-kept park with several jumps of different sizes and rails makes Folgefonna a really good ski resort for those who cannot wait with skiing until the winter.
Wonderful to go down to the bathing place in Jondal 20 km from Fonna after the ski day has finished and take a nice dip in the Hardangerfjord and look up at the snow, hard to beat!
There is no overnight stay in Fonna. We chose to stay at Flatabö Overnatting http://flatabo-folgefonna.no/om/ which is a really nice place located between Jondal and Folgefonna, well-equipped apartments with different number of beds.

Were there in July this summer with my partner, incredibly awesome and not what we expected. Thought half-plate glacier but I was looking forward to checking and it leaned 48.5% as best according to my Garmin. Top speed 96 km / h in big turns. Schysst park and incredibly nice reception of staff and other skiers. No lift queue to talk about, good facilities fast Norway is in comparison an expensive country when it comes to food. The only place to not recommend was the Thaivagnen at the ferry terminal in Jondal.
Thought that there would be bad groundwork but the staff could sit and salt the slopes to perfection, absolutely wonderful before in my opinion. Unassuming views and one gets hard to grab all the impressions. The road there is among the cooler I drove on. Because of course you should also go down :-)

It was a magical day with a couple of miles of cycling after the end of the day and a dip in the Hardangerfjord. The battle team and go there if you can! Five out of five possible, exclusively because you can go there when everything else is rebooted!

Fun with summer skiing, big and good park.
A little pity that the weather was not so good when I was there.
One has heard that they are usually not so good weather there.
They ran water in the lifts and blew but they were fun: D
